The LUMBERJACK
The LUMBERJACK*, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School's unaward winning humor magazine, first began life as a 1000 year old California redwood that was viciously killed by the American logging industry in 1850, hence the name LUMBERJACK. Since then, the magazine has gone on to win numerous unawards including the 2003 Gold Deforestation Medal and the 2005 Environmental Destruction Pendant in the Field of Soil Erosion. The Lumberjack is a motherf#@!ing uncensored magazine, run by BCC students who not only pretentiously decide what's good enough to be published, but also raise money that doesn't mysteriously disappear into savings accounts, sell adds that don't involve underhand deals with local businesses, and create layout of the final product WHICH IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY AND IS SOMETHING EVERYONE SHOULD READ AND ENJOY AND DONATE TO. But more importantly, the LUMBERJACK allows for a stimulating atmosphere where artists, writers, photographers, and musicians can be a part of something that humiliates and makes fun of others at their expense**. Oh, but most importantly it's something you can pad your resume with!
